Pneumatic foot pedal valves are used to signal other pneumatic devices within a system remotely; for example, they can operate pneumatic cylinders that hold workpieces in place enabling hands-free machine operation. Latching foot pedal valves lock workpieces in place; upon removal of a foot, a detent overrides and holds the pedal lever down, the reinsertion of a foot releases the detent. Spring return versions are used to perform repetitive functions like dosing, pressing, punching or drilling, on the removal of a foot, the valve resets.
